After going through the events that occurred in Rush Hour 1 and 2, LAPD Detective James Carter and Chinese Chief Inspector Lee went their separate ways. Rush Hour 3 starts with Lee positioned to protect Chinese Ambassador Han from danger at the World Criminal Court, only to have Han shot by an assassin who is later found to be Lee’s foster brother Kenji. While trying to catch the assassin, Lee reunites with Carter and end up being partners again. They find a clue that leads them to Paris so they go there to investigate the Triad mystery that started all this. Lee and Carter soon find out that there is a list of Triad leaders (deadly group of people) and go find Geneviève, a person that could help them find the names of the leaders. Shortly after, it is discovered that Geneviève IS the list. They figure out that the list is inscribed on the back of her head. Moreover, Carter and Lee find out that Reynard, the French Commissioner, is part of all the wrongdoing. To stop Lee and Carter from revealing the list, Reynard and Kenji threatens them by kidnapping Han’s daughter (Soo Young). In order to take the list from Lee and Carter, both the good and the bad guys end up meeting in the Eiffel Tower, with Han’s daughter dangling outside of it. Lee is told to bring Geneviève up the Eiffel Tower with no one else. However, Lee brings Carter, who is dressed as Geneviève instead, and they fight to rescue Soo Young. After Carter and Lee free Soo Young and send her down the elevator, they make their escape from the Triads by gliding down to safety with a large French flag. Unfortunately, they are confronted by Reynard, holding Geneviève at gun-point. A local taxi-driver, who helps Lee and Carter drive around the city and escapes from death several times throughout the movie, shoots Reynard from behind before Reynard could do anything. Finally, the police arrive with Lee and Carter dancing off the scene putting an end to the movie.
